Charlie Brown by Banksy was sold for $4 million

At Art Miami, a Banksy work called "Charlie Brown" sold for $4 million from Maddox Gallery. It was sold to an undisclosed American collector as a part of its VIP Preview Sale. The piece was first spray-painted by the artist on a Los Angeles wall in 2011. The sale followed the largest exhibition of Banksy's works from a single gallery in Art Miami, with prices ranging from approximately $650,000 to over $6.6 million.

Raden Saleh painting sold for Rp36 billion in Paris

A rare painting of Megamendung landscape by Indonesian painter Raden Syarif Bastaman Saleh, also known as Raden Saleh, sold for Rp36 billion. The initial estimated price of the painting is Rp16.5 billion-Rp24.8 billion. The auction was held on 2 December at Drouot Paris by auction house Daguerre in collaboration with Jack-Phillippe Ruellan.

Syahrini sold 18,000 NFT on Binance

Syahrini sold a collection of NFT on the world's largest cryptocurrency exchange, Binance. Her NFT collection is called the "Metaverse Tour". There are 18,000 NFT divided into several categories based on the quantity, such as #Huss-Huss-Sanah with 3,240 NFT, #MajuMundurCantik 1,380 NFT and the least #CetarMembahana with 5 NFT. The NFT collection was available for purchase starting from 14 December and sold out in a day.

Adidas launches NFT collection

Adidas on 17 December launched an NFT collection called "Into the Metaverse" that sold out almost immediately. The brand created the collection, which consists of virtual wearables and physical clothing, in collaboration with Bored Ape Yacht Club, gmoney and PUNKS Comic. Featuring 30,000 NFT priced at 0.2 ETH each or $800, the sale generated over 6,000 ETH or $23 million in revenue, according to Cryptobriefing.

Nike acquires RTFKT

Nike has acquired digital sneaker company RTFKT, an NFT studio that produces digital collectibles including virtual sneakers. The acquisition is another step that accelerates Nike’s digital transformation that allows it to serve athletes and creators at the intersection of sport, creativity, gaming and culture. Nike will not disclose the terms of the acquisition.

Karl Lagerfeld’s first auction closed at $13.3 million

Chanel icon Karl Lagerfeld’s personal items were auctioned at Sotheby’s for the first time since his death in 2019. The auction is scheduled for 3-5 December in Monaco, 14 December in Paris and March 2022 in Cologne. In early December, 1,400 bidders registered for the first sale which consisted of 582 lots, including sketches, memorabilia, personal objects and the Rolls-Royce Phantom. The auction closed at $13.3 million with original estimates at $3.4 million.
