Vision+, a streaming platform from MNC, in partnership with USS Networks produces The Waves, a documentary series about sneaker and culture. The documentary series is part of original content produced by Vision+.

“We are simply looking for an interesting angle,” said Vision+ Managing Director Clarissa Tanoesoedibjo during a press conference when being asked about the decision to produce the documentary. “Vision+ hopes the audience will find missing pieces from fashion trends that they love,” said Clarissa in a press release.

The six-episode documentary aims to highlight fashion trend developments in Indonesia for two decades. The documentary also features key figures in streetwear from dr. Tirta, Max Suriaganda, Anton Wirjono, Dendy Darman, Eddy Brokoli to Direz.

“At this moment, there are a lot of people who feel that foreign fashion brands are much better and more developed than Indonesian brands without giving solutions or contribution. Keep in mind that the journey of Indonesian fashion industry is as long as fashion industry overseas that has started decades ago,” said USS Networks CEO Sayed Muhammad.
