Chief of Digital Transformation Office at the Health Ministry Setiaji announced last Friday (24 September) that starting October, PeduliLindungi features can be accessed on digital platforms, including Gojek, Grab, Tokopedia, Traveloka, Dana and Jaki.

"We are coordinating and collaborating with digital platforms, such as Gojek, Grab Tokopedia, Traveloka and even the Jakarta government’s application, Jaki," Setiaji said in an online discussion.

“It will launch this October and we are in the process of testing several models so it could be accessed by everyone,” he added.

The initiative is done to address the complaints some people brought up, saying that they could not download the PeduliLindungi application because they do not have enough storage on their smartphone.

Those who do not have smartphones and are about to travel by plane or train can still find out their status as they have to input their national identification number when buying the tickets.

“So even without a smartphone, we can still identify whether a person is healthy or not, if they already got vaccinated, as well as to access their test results,” Setiaji explained.

According to data provided by the Health Ministry, to this date, almost 9 million people have accessed the PeduliLindungi application, with 48 million downloads and approximately 55 million monthly users.
