da Lopez brothers join Narasi as chief creative officer and SVP for content and new programmes
Najwa Shihab on 3 January announced that Narasi has added new members to its team. Jovial and Andovi da Lopez, the figures behind the SkinnyIndonesian24 YouTube channel, were appointed as chief creative officer and senior vice president for content and new programmes, respectively.
According to Narasi CEO Catharina Davy, the decision can be seen as a part of Narasi’s efforts to be more relevant and get closer to its audience. One of its objectives is to make Narasi not only a source of information for young people, but also a media that actively takes part in building and advancing youth.
“We believe that these two creators can represent the voices of young people in responding to various important things, and produce various influential content that inspire young people to keep developing and innovating,” said Catharina.
She added that whatever content that will appear in Narasi reflects Narasi’s identity. They have also mutually agreed that all content must be able to provide a new understanding for the audience and answer the needs of young people to progress and develop. “We have prepared it all together,” she stated.
Andovi has also confirmed the news. “It’s official. Starting from 2022, both of us will be a part of the Narasi family,” he wrote on an Instagram post.
“Narasi’s vision and mission so far are very much in line with what Kajo and I’ve been trying to achieve in these past 10 years. This is a new chapter in my life. And, hopefully, I can bring real impact and change as Narasi SVP for content and new programmes,” he added.
