Paris Hilton dons headpiece designed by Rinaldy Yunardi in her documenter series “Paris in Love

Media personality and entrepreneur Paris Hilton dons a headpiece designed and crafted by Indonesian designer Rinaldy Yunardi, as seen on a photo she uploaded on her Instagram. In the photo, which is used as the cover for her documentary series “Paris in Love”, Hilton looks elegant wearing a wedding dress and holding Carter Reum’s - his husband - hand. 

Rinaldy said he was surprised when he found out that his headpiece was worn by Hilton. “So, I just found out that morning when I checked my IG, and it turns out that Paris H tagged my name in the post," he stated. He revealed that the said headpiece is a ready stock tiara made of zirconia stone that he designed in the middle of last year.

Hi Jack Sandals in collaboration with Mycotech releases new collection with leather-like mushroom-based sustainable material mycelium 

Hi Jack Sandals in collaboration with Mycotech releases a new collection titled “Walk the Future”. Mycotech is known as a company that focuses on developing and producing sustainable materials. For this collection, Mycotech develops Myclea, a material made from mycelium. Myclea is deemed as the healthier alternative to leather considering the similarities of their texture, appearance and function.

This collection consists of two colourways with two different outsoles, namely Mimic Mylea and Mimic Mylea Blach, priced at Rp2.49 million and Rp2.99 million, respectively. The exclusive launching events of the collection were held in Kanda, Tokyo and the Brightspot Market event in Jakarta.

Michael Jordan’s “Broken Foot Game” Air Jordan 1s sold for $422,130

Michael Jordan’s game-worn Air Jordan 1s was sold at Lelands Auction for  $422,130. The pair is dubbed the “Broken Foot Game” pair, as it is known as one of the last AJ1s MJ wore before he missed six months of game time in 1985 due to his injury. It is one of the most crucial moments in MJ’s professional career.

The pair comes in the OG Chicago Bulls red white black colourway and the left and right shoe size are mismatched. The left shoe is size 13, while the right shoe is size 13.5 - this is a known MJ quirk. The inner ankle collar reads “850102-TYPS”. According to Hypebeast, the pair was previously kept by the Jordan family and just recently was gifted to the company’s consignor’s father. 

LV raises prices globally due to increased manufacturing costs and global inflation

Louis Vuitton in mid-February announced it has decided to raise its prices globally due to increased manufacturing costs and global costs. This price increase was made only four months after LV’s previous price increase in October 2021. 

“The price adjustment takes into account changes in production costs, raw materials, transportation as well as inflation,” Louis Vuitton said in a statement. 

It will affect all LV stores worldwide, including all of its products from leather goods and fashion accessories to perfumes. Citing Reuters, some LV handbags such as the $7,323 Capucines and $1,890 Neverfull will now be 20% more expensive. Other luxury brands, such as Chanel, Hermès, Prada and Moncler, have also reportedly increased their prices earlier this year. 

Casio collaborates with Public Culture’s sister brand Paradise Youth Club in releasing limited edition G-Shock 

Indonesian fashion brand Paradise Youth Club (PYC) in collaboration with Casio Indonesia on 20 February released a 100-piece limited edition G-Shock DW-6900PYU21-8. Inspired by the Internet and PYC fall/winter collection, the watch seeks to explore the “digital network that became the main power source to people’s life since the beginning”. 

To create a futuristic look, the watch uses a silver-coloured bezel and strap along with a branded lime green face and tinted LCD display. The phrase "Power Source" will appear when the EL backlight is turned on. On the back of the watch, the slogan “Guide to the Paradise Highway” is neatly engraved. The packaging features digital and retro themes, with a “Paradise Master System” box that resembles a CRT monitor and a custom tin case.

Victoria’s Secret’s campaign features first model with down syndrome Sofia Jirau

Victoria’s Secret's recent campaign for its new line “Love Cloud Collection” features the first-ever model with down syndrome Sofia Jirau. “One day I dreamt it, I worked at it and today it's a dream come true. I can finally share my big secret. I am the first model with down syndrome for Victoria’s Secret!" Jirau posted on her Instagram. 

“Thank you to all of you who always supported my projects. Thank you Victoria's Secret for seeing a model in me...and making me part of the inclusion campaign Love Cloud Collection. This is just the beginning!” she added. 

This marks the first campaign under the brand’s new creative director, Raúl Martinez, who joined in January. According to a press statement, through this move, the lingerie brand hopes that it will “reinforce Victoria's Secret's commitment to welcoming and celebrating all women.”

Fashion e-commerce Boohoo partners with Paris Hilton as its first move in tapping into metaverse

Fashion e-commerce retailer Boohoo teamed up with entrepreneur Paris Hilton to advertise during her virtual fashion week. The advertisement will be done on Roblox and is titled "Paris World”. This marks the brand's first foray into the metaverse. 

Boohoo will display two prominent billboards in Paris World during virtual Fashion Week, which will be located at the entrance area to the event. Boohoo worked with MilkMoney, the leading marketplace for out-of-home (OOH) media buying, to secure the billboard inventory in the metaverse. 

“Billboards are a part of our everyday lives and it should be no different in the metaverse,” said Hilton. “When I spoke to Sam and the MilkMoney team, it was clear they shared the same vision for what Paris World can offer and how to reach consumers and fans, and it’s awesome to be launching our first billboard campaign with Boohoo, a brand I’ve always loved.”
